pattern, MICRO, MACRO, NORMAL

This is hard thing to talk about as its nto realloy a original concept, but at the same time its does not have a 100% defined characteristic, or description. With a google search, you get images of very simplistic patterns that can be used in larger pictures as texture, or used a micro art.
There is a procedure called micro patterning that is where aerosol spray is used to create micro pattern.

HOWEVER!

micro pattern is NOT uniform, well not in a simplistic sense, it is still a pattern but a bit more complex, as my outlook on color and texture stems purely from patterns, ive decided to use a combination of micro pattern in my 3D animation, pattern and MACRO pattern.

My theory is, that i can utilize the micro pattern to eliminate that unrealistic sheen, and age most of the objects found on the set. even though you may think that your looking at a solid surface there will be 100% pattern in front.

The macro pattern will be used to an immense scale, these HAVE to be handled carefully else teh pattern will stand out, in fact i doubt youd see more than a half of a macro pattern on a whole wall! Macro pattern has to be super simplistic, so not to draw too much attention.

then we have normal pattern. this occurs naturally, but with shading, coloring and texturing. this can be enhanced and be made more and more effective.
