where im at

Well... i havent posted for a little while... thats not to say i havent been working! juggling Semi permanent (WHICH WAS AWESOME) as well as exhibition stuff, ive managed to render out the final scene, ready for compositing. Rig, Blend shapes, adjust textures, Paint weights, rig mouth features, and start texturing the interior of the shack. I am now working on teh blocking phase, and hopefully be on teh second pass of character animation by the end of teh holidays..

here is a character test render, in the scene... im finalizing the HAIR so that the action can easily be seen

atom test

well this is test 1 of the atom, it consists fo the main atom and 3 tiny electrons spinning around it, imtesting out a dynamic lightning effect to give it a more supercharged feel, im stil mucking with the shaders, if you look close you can see a E inteh middle of the atom

canyon terrain modeled by myself, this is only at it is 2nd stage will have a different e look by the end.. more matt and stylized in the texture.

The nuclear explosion was moddelled by me, with help from David Guica and a very very good Blender tutorial! the blast is only at its 1st stage as well, and will be getting similar treatment to the canyon to fit in with the overall asthetic

Below are two low poly head models, as you can see it is extremely similar to the plasticine one. as well as my character board.

the head has has its texture map to allow for accurate and even mapping. i will be texture painting in the near future.

heads pretty much modelled

well the head is pretty much modelled... ive broken up the UV's so that its technically ready for texture mapping and all that jazz! i experimented with aggin "fur" for the eye brows, but will have to confer with trinh to see if she knows a better way... it is not a vital thing, more just a whim on my part, as the eye brows ARE MOSTLY blocked by the huge glasses

Animatic V1

Sound Design

I have been in talks with Brisbane (upcoming) sound designer Daniel Pennefather, who has agreed to make a 2-3 min backing track for my animation as well as help with Foley FX

no good animation is complete without proper sound! :-)
